Plot

Charlie is a marketing manager at a large toy company. The company believes that the stores are doing poorly and wants to transfer everything to internet sales. However, Charlie is passionate about the stores and is looking for the company's most profitable store and it is suggested that you find out why it is doing so well and take ideas from there to increase overall profitability. The company sends her away to investigate the matter. There she meets the store manager, Grant. While she works to save the stores, she also gets new thoughts about her life.

A good film about the big companies steam rolling the old, small-scale, trades. Romantically, it lasts and delivers feelgood.

Journalist Taylor returns to her hometown before Christmas. Since her mother died, Christmas makes her the saddest. Upon arrival, she runs into Luke acting as Santa Claus at the town park. He manages to cheer her up for a while. The next year Taylor returns again and runs into Luke again and she is drawn to him just as he is to her. However, he serves in the military, which means that he is away most of the time. Is that a life Taylor is prepared to live?

As a romance, it's decent, but you get a little tired of the message that all sacrifices are worth it because he "serves the country".

Plot

Robin is Art director and former photo model who works with advertising campaigns. When she jumps in as a model for a test shoot, after the regular model doesn't show up, the rich and famous Luke arrives to model for one of his new brands. Robin will design his campaign, so they will work together. Luke immediately falls for Robin but with the complicated business deals, can it turn into a relationship?

No, it's simply too much pastiche.

Alana has created a dating app. Through this, she has met Evan and they match according to the app, so when he proposes, she accepts. Her best friend and colleague persuades her to take some time off and go home to her father in Florida for a while. Evan has too much work and doesn't want to come along. Back home, Alana runs into Kai with whom she had a relationship during school but it didn't last when she moved out of town. Meeting Kai again makes Alana think a lot, both about her app and about her choices.

This movie teeters on the edge. As a romantic film, it works decently, but Kai's acting is questionable (at least in the first half).

Plot

Ally is unlucky with her boyfriends and always ends up with a loser. When she hears at a hen party that those who have been with more than 20 men never find the right one, she hunts herself down when she is up to 20. Obsessed with the idea of not getting up to 21, she starts looking for her old boyfriends to see if it wasn't the case that one of them was the right one. She enlists the help of her neighbor in return for helping him get rid of girls he brought home overnight.

I was a bit skeptical and of course there are some dubious moments in this one, like why the number only applies to her and not him etc. But it picks up and becomes funny and works romantically.

Plot

The doctoral student Chloe, who studies marine mammals, gets an opportunity to spend a week in Washington State to study orcas in the Salish Sea. She also sees it as a chance to gain some distance and contemplate her relationship with Marcus, who is pursuing a doctorate in economics. Upon arrival, she meets Ben, who works as a guide and knows everything about the local orca pods. They bond over their shared interest in orcas and the beautiful natural surroundings. But what will happen with Marcus, and will Chloe be able to complete her study when a pod is missing?

The movie can be described as "mostly harmless." It delivers what it should without much drama.

To get some distance after a difficult divorce, Tara goes to Parable, Montana, over the summer. She has good memories from there after a visit in her childhood. There she rents a house and as neighbours she gets the local sheriff Boone and his two sons. They eventually become good friends. Suddenly, Tara's ex-husband sends daughter Erin up for a visit. Erin doesn't like her dad and his new girl, preferring to be with Tara. However, things are more complicated and Tara is faced with difficult choices.

A good romantic film that I thought was a bit strange with Tara's relationship with her daughter but everything is explained. The film is a little different with that perspective.

Plot

Author Grace returns to her hometown to try to find inspiration for her upcoming novel. Back home, she soon runs into her high school boyfriend, Sean. He finds himself in a predicament where his girlfriend and her father want him to approve the demolition of the town's old house where the Blue Moon Ball is held every year, but he prefers to preserve it. Grace commits herself to the task of preserving the house with Sean.

When Carrie was little, she put a piece of wedding cake under her pillow and had a dream about her future love. 20 years later, she is a successful researcher who also bakes as a hobby. Now her younger sister is getting married and Carrie has promised to bake the wedding cake. Newly arrived at the parents' home where the wedding is to take place, she meets her sister's husband's best man and is shocked to realize that he is the man of her dreams 20 years ago. How will she handle this? She turns to the question column "Just Ask Josie" that her colleague suggested. It will turn out that it complicates the whole thing even worse.

A good movie and even if it gets a little over the top at times, it's entertaining and good.

Madison runs an events company and has a lot to do before Christmas. As always, she gets help from her best friend Cooper, who otherwise works as a teacher. Madison's rich boyfriend Luke stops in town and invites Madison out for dinner, but it turns out that he invited more people to the dinner and that it won't be as romantic as Madison imagined. On the way home from dinner, she meets the Santa that she has hired for her events. He advises her that the perfect love might be the imperfect love. Maybe she's had it all along.

A good romantic film where someone finally breaks out of the friend zone. Even if the road there gets a little bit crooked. In bits a funny movie.

Plot

Ginger is an influencer who is completely focused on Christmas. She also depends on followers to get sponsors. When she injures her face and doesn't dare to post any vlogs, she risks losing followers. Her manager then gets the idea to create a pretend romance between Ginger and another of his customers, Beau, who is something of the opposite of Ginger.

Short review

There is nothing genuine in this film. At times embarrassingly bad and terribly long way away from "Beauty and the Beast". You could do something better with this hour and a half.

Plot

Ava plans her whole life and Brett proposes to her on order. But then he regrets it just as they are about to get married. Ava becomes completely derailed and depressed, so her sister convinces her that the two of them should go on the planned honeymoon instead. During the trip, Ava begins to recover from the shock and also meets the nice Kyle. But suddenly Brett shows up and has regretted it again.

Short review

So wrong on so many levels. The place where they were supposed to celebrate their honeymoon looks extremely boring. The ending goes all wrong and their future doesn't look too bright to be honest.

Plot

Blogger Aubrey is sent by her sister and companion to do a report on the Danish-inspired village of Solvang, which is known for its fervent Christmas celebration. When she gets there, she first thinks it feels like a big tourist trap. However, she gets a guide in Sawyer who shows her the town's traditions and homeliness. Soon it may not just be Solvang that Aubrey falls for.

A perhaps somewhat sugar sweet story. No severe complications.

Children's book author Margot arrives in Cape Cod to celebrate one last Christmas at her family's house before they sell it. The siblings think it will be too expensive to keep it after their parents pass away. Margot arrives a few days before the others to prepare the house for last Christmas. She is the one who finds it difficult to accept that they will sell because she has so many fond memories in the house from her childhood. In the city, she meets Christian, who was her best friend in childhood. He moved away when they were still young but has now returned and opened a gallery for his paintings. Margot gets the idea to hire Chrisitian to paint the house in an attempt to convince her siblings not to sell.

Short review

This is a very well made romantic movie. Although the story feels familiar from other films, the execution is much better. The romance can develop at a leisurely pace, even if you feel that the feelings from childhood remain. The conflict between the siblings is also portrayed well and feels genuine.

Plot

Fashion designer Lisa needs good publicity as she risks losing important retailers. However, her autobiography lacks life and her publisher wants a writer, Colin, to fix it. Luckily, it turns out that Colin lives in Lisa's hometown, where she is going to get some distance and also be there when her best friend is having her first child. Their first meeting does not go so well, but over time Colin gains Lisa's trust and the book begins to take shape. But at the same time, Lisa's brand is threatened by takeovers.

My alarm bells always ring when the film is produced by UP Faith & Family but this time it was really good. The story holds together and develops at a reasonable pace.

Plot

Hannah writes reviews and photographs vacation spots. Before Christmas, she gets an assignment to go to Christmas World in Alaska to do a review of the place. She goes there and is accompanied by her aunt as they plan to celebrate Christmas together. Once there, they are met by a lackluster and boring facility on the brink. The owner's son, Ben, arrives back from military service at the same time and finds it hard to accept that dad plans to sell the whole place.

A low-budget production from most perspectives.

Plot

Chris, who is a busy businessman, inherits his grandfather's house which he is very fond of. However, the condition of the will is that he must hold a traditional Christmas celebration that his grandfather used to hold in the house. He goes up to the house to work from there while he engages an event fixer, Meredith, to get everything ready for Christmas dinner.

Short review

Another low budget production. You get the feeling that they filmed each camera angle at different times and then cut it all together into a movie. The interaction is simply not there.

Plot

The photographer Beck loses his job at the newspaper. To get some perspective but also material to participate in a photography competition, she goes to Serenity Island where she has good memories after a vacation with her parents and where she found her passion for photography. However, the hotel is closed so she ends up in a cabin at Lemon Tree Farm where Josh and his father try to keep the farm alive by also renting out the cabins that are there.

A good film without major complications. Maddison makes a positive Beck.

Plot

The widow Adela runs a successful cooking program. After the end of the season, she goes with her daughter to San Antonio, where she grew up and got her interest in food. At home, Adela's mother-in-law struggles to keep the family restaurant alive, which is not easy. Adela also meets the writer David, who just did an aggressive interview with her before she left. She is now helping out at the restaurant while David wants another interview. In the middle of all this, she receives a lucrative offer for a new program series with top chefs in Europe, but her daughter does not want to go.

A romantic film with lots of Tex-Mex. Partly a bit stiff, but pretty ok nonetheless. However, the romance does not convince.

Plot

Claire is an accomplished producer of romantic reality series. Now they need to spruce up the concept for next season and when she sees Joe, who is a farmer among the applications, she sees an opportunity. She is sent out to meet him but once there she realizes that it is his sister who sent in the application and that Joe is not willing at all. However, much depends on Claire fixing this so she sets out to persuade him. In exchange for a compensation that can make it possible to fix the farm's poor finances, Joe agrees to run. Claire spends time with Joe preparing the broadcasts but the closer they get the clearer it becomes that Joe has already found his romance.

I was skeptical of the concept, but it turns out they've put together a pretty good romantic movie, even if it makes things a little easy for itself at the end.

Lauren is divorced after her husband cheated on her. She works as an undervalued assistant at a wedding fixing company. Now a prestigious assignment appears that could give her the long-awaited promotion she wants. At the same time, she meets the fireman Nick, who turns on all his charm. It all gets complicated when Lauren discovers that he is the groom in the prestigious wedding.

Short review

A bit different as a romantic movie (maybe not in terms of plot, but it doesn't quite follow the usual formula). It's quite funny and has many twists and turns, yet it holds up despite its age.

Lily is the curator of a museum that one day receives a donation. When they unwrap it, it turns out to be a painting that looks exactly like Lily. The museum staff gets going on the mysterious painting, especially Lily's boss. The package turns out to be from Ireland and Lily is sent there by her boss to find out where the painting comes from. At the local post office from which the painting was sent, she meets Saorsie and her brother William who are completely perplexed when they see her but soon become involved in the hunt for where the painting came from. But William is hiding something.

Short review

The story is really good and the film is well made. The only reason it doesn't get the highest rating is Richard McWilliams who plays William. He makes William appear as a backwards person without ability to play emotions. It's hard to understand what Lily would see in him.

Plot

Abby and Edward are getting married and moving to Paris. During the preparations, however, Abby discovers that her divorce from her brief marriage to Luke just after high school was never registered and that they are still formally married. She goes home to make things up with Luke who turns out to be back in their hometown after he left for Alaska. Luke also gets perplexed and needs time to think over the weekend before signing.

A movie that turned me around. Skeptical that they would succeed in pulling it off but it turns out well.

Plot

Conrad, who suffers from OCD, dreams of becoming a chef. One day he meets Molly who he finds fascinating. The problem is that suddenly she is a completely different person. And soon again. It turns out she is schizophrenic with multiple personalities. But Conrad doesn't give up but try to deal with her and wanting to help her while loving her, all of her personalities (almost anyway).

Short review

The concept may be fun, but it fails a bit on two things. On the one hand, I find it hard to believe that schizophrenia works the way it does in the film, and on the other hand, the film does not have its romantic ending (even if it is hinted at in the last scene).

Plot

Sofia loses her job and discovers that her boyfriend is cheating on her on the same day. After two weeks at her mother's house, the mother starts taking her out of the house on various activities to try to get her going again. The mother signs them up for a Spanish cooking class for couples. The last thing Sofia wants is to attend a couples' course with her mother. Reluctantly, she participates and Matias, a Spanish chef who is visiting the US, slowly awakens her interest in cooking, etc.

A good romantic film that may not be that different conceptually but still manages to stand out from the crowd, thanks in large part to a good performance from Riley Dandy.

Hannah is struggling with her first major article for the magazine she works for when she learns that she has inherited her grandmother's cabin that has been sitting unused for the past few years. Encouraged by her friend and boss, she goes there to see what to do with the house and finish her article at the same time. There she meets the widower Cole and his sister who runs the local store. Cole also lives next door to Hannah's cabin and his sister convinces him to help her prepare it for a possible sale.

A good romantic film that might follow a known pattern but is still better than the average.

In her stressed state in the midst of a separation, Jade makes a mistake at work. Her boss has her take a few weeks off to unwind. She asks her assistant to book a vacation in the Caribbean. Once there, she settles into her booked accommodation, but it turns out that she has been tricked and that a man named Ford lives in the house and has not rented it out at all. However, Ford lets Jade stay and they slowly get to know each other. However, there is something familiar about Ford that Jade, the news producer, can't quite put her finger on.

One of the better romantic movies that does follow the template but is still a little different. Especially the resolution.

Emma gets tired of never getting a professional chance from her boss/boyfriend. She resigns and breaks up and leaves to visit her aunt in Hawaii. In her childhood, her uncle tried to teach her to surf and now she wants to learn for real despite her fear of the sea. Ben is persuaded to train her even though he quit surfing after becoming a widower.

A well executed romantic film with chef competition and conflicting emotions.

When Olivia finds out that her best friend is getting married after a quick romance and moving from New York to a ranch, she gets the idea to take her friend to a bachelorette party at the "Dude Ranch" to expose her to country life. Her hope is that the friend will realize how country life doesn't suit her and stay in New York. The ranch is run by a father and his son, Travis. Olivia does not succeed in dissuading her friend but becomes increasingly fond of country life and perhaps especially Travis.

This movie does not convince. It becomes a bit platitude-like and somewhat exaggerated.

Plot

Emma works with planning company events. When her sister is getting married, however, she takes a break to help as maid of honor. It soon turns out that the best man is Liam with whom Emma had a failed date a few years ago. Just in time for the wedding the future bride and groom are called away to work, leaving Emma and Liam to arrange all the practical things. It gets off with a bad start, but the more they work together, the more they realize that they're actually not so hopeless.

We've seen the setup before and it works well this time around.

Plot

Amelia is a successful nature illustrator for a major nature publication. However, she does it through careful research, not through travel. Now her newspaper is going to publish an anniversary edition and wants a report about a pair of manatees that were rescued after a storm and are now to be released into the sea again. But this time they want Amelia to go on location in Puerto Rico, something that is way outside her comfort zone. To top it all off, her photographer gets sick so she comes there herself. There she meets Fernando who takes care of the manatees.

Nothing really wrong with the film, but it is noticeable that it is a cheap production where they've cut corners.

Plot

At a young age, Summer sends a letter of admiration to her idol Nick. He replies and it develops into a friendship via letters and over the years they have constant contact via letters, phone and chat. Now Nick is having trouble with his singing career and his manager is looking for ways to make him popular again. Coincidentally, the manager books him for a gig in Summer's hometown and he decides to finally meet his friend in real life.

A good romantic film about celebrity etc. Nice to see the married couple Alexa and Carlos act together again.

Plot

Gia moves to Maple Plain where she got a new job in the city planning office. She becomes neighbors with fireman Jim who is single with his daughter Lizzy. Jim is a dedicated bbq fanatic and so is Gia. Gia fights with the mayor to get a playground adapted for the disabled and the firefighters want a gym to train in. They find each other over the barbecue and the fight to achieve their goals.

A relatively average romantic film that delivers what it should, although I missed some chemistry between Gia and Jim.

Plot

Alexa and Jason get on each other's nerves at work, and it doesn't get any better when their boss lets them compete for a promotion. At the same time, both are dumped by their respective ones. When Alexa gets dumped, she also happens to destroy her phone and lose all her contacts. With her new phone, she messages her best friend but remembers the wrong number and accidentally ends up messaging Jason. Without knowing who the other is, they start messaging each other and develop a friendship while competing with each other at work.

A better variation on "You've got mail". I weighed this for a long time but it picks up and works in the end.

Plot

Julie has planned a romantic holiday in Verona with her boyfriend, but before they leave, he breaks up. She decides to travel anyway. When she arrives at her booked accommodation, it turns out that the Briton Charlie lives there because he has also booked the same accommodation. As there are no alternatives, they are reluctantly forced to share accommodation but do everything they can to get the other to give up and leave.

The premise of the plot is not completely unfamiliar, but Netflix has managed to make a good romantic film.

Plot

Angie manages to land a coveted lease. When she is about to move in, a parrot flies in through the front window. She starts to take care of it but it becomes a problem as the property owner has a very strict "no pets" rule. Angie is also pleasantly surprised by her new neighbor Ted and soon it turns out that he is also breaking the rule. They begin to help each other keep their secrets from the property owner, Gineen, who also seems to be quite attracted to Ted.

A so-called trifle, a lighthearted story that has some gaps but works decently. A big plus for Angie recognizing a Spitfire.

Plot

Amelia thought her boyfriend of five years would propose and come with her to her sister's wedding in Australia, but he disappoints her and she has to go alone. Once there, she learns that her sister and the groom have been caught in bad weather at the spa they went to before the wedding. Amelia now has to do what she can to fix everything before the wedding, luckily she works with flower arrangements for weddings so she knows something about arranging weddings. She gets help from the town's veterinarian, who is to be best man at the wedding.

Maybe a decent romantic film, but it makes it a bit easy for itself and does not come out all that good.

Zoe is assigned to go to Yosemite to take photos for a so-called coffee table book. To find the unique places to get her photos, she engages the local guide and gamekeeper Jack. With Jack's work in preserving the park, she also engages him in the work on the book.

A dozen production that really falls flat. It is so shallow that it almost floats above the surface.

Architect Gemma loses an important deal when she refuses to compromise with the buyer. This becomes extra complicated when her boyfriend, who is a broker, hangs their future on the deals he sees through Gemma. In the middle of this, Gemma's aunt dies and she has to go home to her family in Hawaii. It turns out that Gemma's aunt has left her dilapidated property to Gemma and her sister with the condition that Gemma has to fix up the house before they can do anything with it. She has also stipulated that Gemma's ex. boyfriend, who is a builder, will be the one to carry out the repairs.

A good romantic film that may not stand out from the crowd, but it is good enough as romantic entertainment.

Movie star Maggie learns that her director husband is cheating with a much younger girl who stars in his new movie. To get away from the pressure and the whole situation, she goes to her cousin who runs a hotel on Nevis in the Caribbean. There she can lick her wounds and try to figure out what to do next. At the hotel Sam works as a cook. They get to know each other and Sam helps Maggie feel better. But what will happen when reality strikes again?

Maybe a good romantic film, but the endless panoramic sweeps become a bit tiresome as fillers to make the film long enough.

Zoe and Nick run a wedding company together and it's going well, but they are thus forced to deal with a lot of diva weddings, which is quite tiring. In the middle of this, Zoe's mother calls and tells her that her father broke his leg. Zoe returns home to help her parents. Back home, she discovers that her ex, Will, now works in her parents' cafe while trying to sell his parents' old farm to open a restaurant. Zoe gets the idea to buy the farm and start a destination wedding business. However, she encounters resistance from Will and the town's government, who do not like change.

A decently good film if you can overlook Drew Nelson's somewhat boring attitude.

Riley works as a theater manager and director at the local theater where they put on "A Christmas Carol" every year. Now, however, she learns that the theater's owner, Regina, intends to sell the theater to a company that will close down the theater in order to develop the property. Regina's nephew, Sam, comes to town to help with the sale. Sam is a well-known actor in Hollywood, and Riley persuades him to audition for one of the roles in this year's production in hopes of getting help to save the theater.

A decent story (not completely unfamiliar) that holds up as a romantic film.

Brian, after his career in the military, now works for a private millionaire with plans to launch a satellite into space. He comes to Hawaii to negotiate permission from the locals. As a liaison officer, he is assigned Allison who is a fighter pilot. His ex also lives on the island. Tracy who is now married with two children. Brian has to deal with old unresolved issues with Tracy while trying to maneuver the project with the satellite and Allison who turns out to be an important part of his stay.

A good romantic film with drama, politics, unresolved old stories and new love.

Plot

Kat lives with her stepmother and her two daughters. There she has to do all the housework while also working as an elf at the town's Santa Claus activity. There she meets the new Santa who, incognito, is made by Dominic, one of the town's cool guys who is also the son of the owner of the company that runs the Santa station. Everything is set for a Cinderella story.

Not completely worthless but painted with a bit too broad a brush.

Plot

Elizabeth tries to keep her dead husband's restaurant as it was, but it goes from bad to worse. The restaurant's investors then bring in a restaurant expert, Ben, to help get the restaurant back on its feet. Elizabeth and the restaurant staff are very hesitant as they want to keep everything as it was when her husband ran the restaurant and it was doing well. Ben carefully tries to get them to see new possibilities and at the same time he awakens new feelings in Elizabeth.

A good romantic film about letting go of the old and letting in the new,

Princess Amelia falls in love with the artist from Chicago who paints her portrait. She convinces her mother, the queen, that they should go visit Amelia's uncle in California with the ulterior motive of sneaking away to Chicago and seeing the artist again. In the end, she manages to slip away but not without her uncle making sure she is accompanied by the bodyguard he hired to protect Amelia.

One of the better stories of unknown European kingdoms. If you disregard the slightly unbelievable premises, it's a good romantic road trip.

Plot

Addie's sister is getting married in Hawaii and Addie is her maid of honor. On a diving excursion before the wedding, Addie loses a valuable ring that she inherited from her grandmother. Via the hotel's event planner, Addie gets hold of Jack, who is a diver. She hires him to help her find the ring. Her old passion for marine biology is rekindled and her search for the ring also makes her think about what she wants with her life.

A pretty good romantic movie that brings everything together at the end.

Doctor Charlotte is left at the altar by Elijah and it leaves her devastated. She also runs into Elijah in her everyday life at regular intervals. When the chance arises to go away as a volunteer doctor to the Philippines, she immediately takes it. When she arrives at the medical station, an ophthalmologist and a dentist also arrive, and it doesn't get any better than that the dentist is Seth, Elijah's twin brother. Suddenly she is reminded of Elijah all the time anyways. But are the twins identical or is Seth better than his brother?

Short review

For once, a slightly different take on the theme of twins. This one is really good. The film is well made, the story grabs you and the resolution feels genuine.

Plot

Ben's girlfriend breaks up because he is not present in the relationship. His sister also recently got dumped and wants to try a "boot camp" for separated people to help get over the separation and she wants Ben to come along. The course is led by Miranda, who started the business in order to get over her own separation. Ben, who is a reporter, is hesitant to participate, but when his editor wants him to participate in this "boot camp" and see if he can expose it as a hoax, he goes ahead.

The film focuses on what it is, a romantic film, and it delivers a good story.

Hannah's groom leaves her at the altar. Outside the church, she meets Josh whose girlfriend just dumped him before they were going to get married. Josh thinks Hannah should go on the honeymoon without her intended and focus on herself. Hannah allows herself to be persuaded but only does so if Josh goes on a similar trip himself and Josh promises to. Fate has it that they both, unbeknownst to each other, travel to Hawaii where they also end up in the same hotel.

A relatively predictable story without big surprises, but it still benefits from the fact that it doesn't go too fast and that their past relationships play a role in how it develops.

Plot

Blogger Shae is going to Malta with her best friend before the friend's wedding but her friend calls and cancels when Shae is at the airport. She decides to go anyway. At the same time, Michael is going to the same destination with his brother who was actually supposed to make the trip as his wedding trip but he was left at the altar. At the airport, the brother decides to stay home but forces Michael to go anyway. Involuntarily alone on their holidays, Shae and Michael hesitantly begin to experience Malta together.

Architect Ben arrives in the small French town to spend the summer there with an assignment he has been given. Moriah and he bump into each other around town and get to know each other. Suddenly, however, it becomes clear that someone has bought the lighthouse and that it is Ben's mission to completely redo it. Now Moriah and Ben end up in conflict.

A decently good film if you can overlook the fact that the French speak so much English.

Superstar Kat will marry superstar Bastian on stage in a very official wedding in front of an audience. Just before she goes on stage, she gets to see a YouTube clip where Bastian is cheating on her own assistant. Devastated, she steps onto the stage and interrupts the whole thing with a speech, and during the speech she sees the single father Charlie, who has been dragged to the concert by a colleague. He happens to be temporarily holding a sign that someone stuck to him that says "Marry Me" and in a momentary inspiration, Kat invites him up on stage and does just that. Now they both have to deal with this impulse and Charlie is thrown into a merry-go-round he was not at all prepared for.

The movie could have been better. It's good, but Owen Wilson pulls the whole thing down as usual. The film would have been much better with any other actor.

Plot

Connor needs someone to take care of his daughter while he does a job in Aruba. Through acquaintances, he gets in touch with Amber, a teacher who has just gone on summer vacation without having any special vacation plans. They leave for Aruba, but it turns out to be a challenge for Connor, whose wife suddenly left him and his daughter a number of years ago. He has a hard time dealing with suddenly sharing the household with an attractive woman and doesn't know where to set the boundaries.

The story is good and works. On IMDB, there was someone who thought Connor was way too wooden, but that's sort of the whole point.

Plot

Deidre works as a barista but dreams of designing roof terraces full time. She also dreams of the customer, whom she calls the "cute suite", who comes into the cafe every day and buys the same cup of coffee. One day when "cute suite", whose real name is Marcus, comes in for his coffee, Deidre is so stressed that she spills the coffee all over Marcus. He gets extra upset as this is an important day for him when there's a lot is at stake. Deidre tries to apologize but one thing leads to another and suddenly she's got a job designing a roof terrace for a wedding that Marcus's company is organizing.

Mia is going through a divorce and is trying to create a new life with her daughter. Tony makes a living as a singer and has had trouble committing ever since he had his heart broken five years ago. They bump into each other through some interference from their respective mothers and soon they also become neighbours after the mothers' invisible help. They are very different, but through a series of meetings they begin to know each other.

Maybe not the most outstanding romantic movie but it is good. And it offers a surprise that at least I didn't see coming…

Kate's honest desire to make the gym's customers feel physically better comes into conflict with the gym's new owners, who mostly want them to not have to put in as much effort. Once there, however, a film company gets in touch and wants her to get one of their stars in shape for a film. When the star gets there, it turns out to be none other than Rick.

Madison is sent to inspect the town of Chrisitmas, Colorado, to see if it is suitable to become a ski resort, although she has already decided that the ski resort should be moved to Moutain Park. On the way there, she collides with the town's welcome sign and is helped by Sheriff Gage. The city is doing what they can to extend her visit and convince her that they are suitable to be the ski resort that Madison's company will invest in. While reluctantly staying, she gets to know Gage and his daughter better and better.

A reasonably well-made romantic film where they work hard on the Christmas atmosphere.

Christina is a food and wine critic. She's sent off to a wine festival on a job and accidentally ends up at a winery she trashed in a review. Just as she is about to get away, however, she slips, hits her head and loses her memory. Michael, who is taking over the farm from his father, and his daughter Britney take care of Christina and try to help her regain her memory. However, they don't know that she is the one who caused the winery their problems with her review…

The film turns out well and delivers. It is well made, even if the memory loss itself is perhaps not that believable, but you have to buy into that if you want a romantic movie.

Skating star Claire is injured and needs to take a break for the injury to heal. Something that is difficult for Claire, who is goal-oriented and wants to win the next competition. She is sent to a rehab clinic in Canada. There she meets Luke, an ex. hockey star, who juggles running the local equipment store and raising his daughter after putting his career on hold. Luke and his daughter help Claire gain perspective on her life and goals. However, her coach is absolutely determined that she must win the next competition.

A fairly good romantic film that lives up to the standards.

Liz is a new teacher at the school and signs up to organize the annual carnival day. She is paired with Ted, the school's tennis coach to fix the arrangement. Their different styles quickly collide and the collaboration creaks. Especially as Gina, another teacher, is jealous as she likes Ted and wanted to work with him. The more Liz and Ted work together, the better they start to appreciate each other.

Christina is a manager at one of McDougal's department stores. Now there is the chance to be responsible for the group's new department store in Paris, but then Christina must succeed with the Christmas event in the store. Through a mishap, Kurt, who is working on fixing up for the event, gets fired from his job. However, Christina gets to know his son, Cooper, who escaped to the department store to meet Santa. Soon Christina realizes she needs Kurt's help to save the Christmas event.

Could have been saved if they found a child actor who lived up to the standard, but now the film is lowered by the poor casting.

Allie writes about celebrities and thinks she can find a story about musicians Caleb and Carson who have just recorded a duet together. It's complicated a bit by the fact that she was schoolmates with both of them and that she also had a crush on Caleb. Eagerly aided by Caleb's publicity-seeking manager, she looks for romance between Caleb and Carson but soon realizes there is none. Pushed by the manager she gets into helping them to find it but instead the love cards fall differently.

Lizzie has a hard time deciding what she wants to work with. Through her sister, she gets a job as housekeeper at the Ashford estate. It is to be prepared for sale and Lizzie's sister is the broker. Lizzie sets about preparing one last traditional Christmas party for the family in the house. Also joining the mix are Kip, Robert's brother, and Sloan, Robert's sister.

They start dating, but little does Maggie know that Adrian is the prince of the small Kuna kingdom.

Bella and her grandmother run a center for dogs in need of adoption. She meets JR who has just returned from military service on a break between his tours of duty to sell his childhood home and the family business he inherited. At the same time, Bella finds out that their main sponsor has pulled out and also wants the land where the dog center is located. It soon turns out that it is JR's old company and that it is the new owner behind the new plans. Now caught between Bella and the new owner, JR does what he can to salvage the situation.

As a romantic film, this works quite well. No surprises but well delivered.

Nat and Josh got married in a hurry but how compatible are they really? Their friends are sceptical, especially Chloe who Josh was with before. At the same time, Nat is drawn to the American Guy whom she meets through work. In their desperation to try to save their marriage, they try to hook Chloe and Guy up with each other.

Gabriella becomes depressed when she, in quick succession, loses her job and breaks up with her useless boyfriend. Suddenly she wins an Inn in New Zealand. Filled with new energy, she immediately heads there to see what she can make of it. Once there, she soon realizes that she won a dump. Despite that, she rolls up her sleeves to get it sorted and gets unexpected help from some of the town's residents. She is very averse to the local craftsman Jake, but in the end she bargains with him for help.

Abby makes her way as a photographer but has not managed to break through. Her best friend, Josh, has been hitchhiking around the world taking pictures but comes home before Christmas and says he's done traveling. Before Christmas, Abby also receives a Christmas calendar from her grandfather. It is mechanical and releases a small figurine every day. The figurines keep getting connected to what happens next each day and Abby begins to believe that the calendar is magical.

Joss has to rewrite her literature thesis while it turns out that her now-deceased mother has given her a trip to England and the farm where her mother grew up. She decides to travel and try to finish her thesis there. The farm (which her mother's parents sold) is now run by Daniel who lives there with his mother and daughter, Tegan. He tries to make the farm profitable and therefore has, among other things, opened a small B&B in one of the side houses. Joss gets to know Tegan and soon realizes that she suffers from dyslexia.

Kyra has a plan for her life with milestones to achieve. One of them is getting a life partner who meets a list of qualities she expects. When her new boss seems to meet all these qualities, she approaches the task with customary energy. This, amongst other things, means to get a dog and compete in an agility competition. She finds Kevin who runs an adoption center for lonely dogs and convinces him that she is suited for a suitable dog. However, training the dog for the agility competition proves difficult and she recruits the reluctant Kevin to help her train with her usual energy.

A somewhat funny romantic film where Andrea Brooks does what she does best: play a positive and determined girl who needs to question her goals.

Megan is going home for her sister's wedding. However, an airport strike forces her to look for alternative ways to get home. She manages to get hold of a rental car and shortly after she's talked into giving Alden a ride. Alden is her nemesis from school who she has just discovered has a company that competes with her own. They encounter a series of mishaps while the sister's wedding draws ever closer.

A fairly well-used storyline, but they've managed to pull it together pretty well this time.

Lola works importing wine. When a colleague snoops her best lead on a new client and her boss thinks it's okay, she resigns. Her first action when she starts her own business will be to go to Australia to try to win over the lead she had. She makes sure to end up at the farm owned by Audra Vaughn who also owns the winery Lola hopes to win over. However, she is dismissed because she has a start-up company and not a well established brand. She then offers to work on the farm to show how keen she is. Audra accepts and instructs Max, who runs the farm, to supervise Lola.

An excellent romantic film with a strong girl who takes hold of her situation and fights for what she wants.

Lindsey goes with her daughter, Alexa, to Paris where the daughter will study to be an artist just like Lindsey once did. They meet Lindsey's teacher who will now teach Alexa. He has also arranged a nice hotel for them to stay at. Little does Lindsey know that the hotel is run by Jack, her old boyfriend in Paris. It has been twenty years since they were separated and then they thought they would be reunited soon but it was not to be. Now she is faced with old unresolved feelings while being wooed by Trent who also wants to buy her company.

A good romantic film that is not too rushed. They have put together a really good movie.

Olivia runs a city park that her mother started. Now a construction company represented by Brian will come and build on the entire area. Olivia and Brian argue against each other over the construction. It gets worse when they discover that they are both at the same weekend wedding as best man and maid of honor. However, the bride and groom have doubts and suddenly Olivia and Brian are faced with the challenge of getting the couple back together and saving the wedding. Something that won't be so easy but makes a temporary peace to succeed.

The conflict between Olivia and Brian is never that convincing and the film becomes a bit so and so.

Julia has problems with the inspiration for her articles. Her boss assigns her to go back to her old hometown to find back to the inspiration she brought with her when she moved away. Once home, she discovers that her childhood friend Nate has built a large snow maze from leftover snow that Julia's father removed in his snow removal business. Julia finds more and more inspiration in writing about Christmas and the labyrinth. But maybe it's Nate who gives her the best inspiration.

However, the job soon develops into her becoming not only a lawyer in the firm but also his personal assistant. When she tries to resign, however, it turns out that she is stuck in a contract.

True has developed a dating app and now he and his friend Benny and their lawyer Kiki are looking for an investor. However, True is doubtful as he fails to find a good date himself with the app. One evening when they are out celebrating that they may have found an investor, he meets a girl via the app. The only problem, however, is that she only speaks Spanish. True, having received her address in Mexico, decides to see if the app works by going there and seeing if it really was a match. His friends accompany him on his crazy trip to Mexico that doesn't quite turn out as he planned.

A romantic film that may not be 100% but it's good. Partly fun and on crooked roads everything gets well in the end.

Growing up, Amy spent a lot of time at Mama's restaurant. Now she works at another restaurant, but when she is overlooked for a promotion, she quits. Just when she is wondering what to do, she is called to a lawyer where she finds out that she inherited Mama's when her surrogate mother who owned the restaurant died. However, the condition is that she continues with the current chef Frank. They have very different opinions about how the restaurant and the food should be.

Both of Tracy's friends have found love while wearing the wedding veil the three of them bought on a visit to San Francisco. Now Tracy is taking care of it to get a tear in it repaired. However, love feels distant after her boyfriend of a few years moves to the other side of the country and they decide to break up. Tracy works at the Metropolitan auction house and they are going to organize an event and when they lose the catering company they hired, Tracy is persuaded to hire chef Nick who is opening his second restaurant. Tracy and Nick have met briefly at the tailor where Tracy handed in the veil and the first impression was not good.

This is the third film in the wedding veil trilogy and this time they succeed even better than before.

Becca and William are colleagues and compete for the same promotion. After a failed pitch they make together, their boss thinks they lack the Christmas spirit and sends them both to William's hometown of Kringle Lake to find it. As there are no hotel rooms, Becca is forced to live with William's slightly odd family.

Soon, however, a plan is born to try to break up their exes relationships and get their loved ones back. Emma will seduce Peter's ex girlfriend's new boyfriend and Peter will become best friends with Emma's ex boyfriend and make him break up his relationship.

Fairy tale princess Giselle falls from her cartoon world and appears, to her horror, in real New York. There she is eventually helped by the lawyer Robert and his daughter who take on the confused princess. However, this creates problems with Nancy, who Robert is about to get engaged to. Meanwhile, Giselle's cartoon prince, Edward, also arrives in reality in his quest to find Giselle. Gisell is also hunted by the Evil Queen's, Edward's mother-in-law's, henchman Nathaniel, who tries to prevent Giselle and Edward from reuniting.

Bonnie opens an organic tea cafe with her best friend. In the same building, her father, who is a famous singer, has his studio and on the roof the café has a terrace where Bonnie also reads poetry that she writes herself. Ryder, who wants to become a singer but has problems recording his songs, arrives to the city. The melodies comes but he has difficulty with the lyrics. He seeks out Bonnie's father for advice. He hears Bonnie's poetry and is inspired to seek her help with the lyrics. In return, he promises to get the critic Branch to come to the cafe and review it.

Lucy works in the barrier to the subway. Every day a handsome man passes by that she dreams about but never talks to. One day, however, he is pushed from the platform onto the tracks and Lucy throws herself out and manages to save him. She accompanies him to the hospital where he is admitted, unconscious. In the confusion, she is mistaken for his girlfriend and before she knows it, his whole family thinks they are getting married. Lucy is drawn into their family life and since she herself lacks a family, she finds it hard to resist. There she meets Jack, the unconscious man's brother, in the middle of all the lies.

A good romantic movie that is more Hollywood than Hallmark. Made in 1995, it has stood the test of time and is a good film.

When Mary and her boyfriend are out hiking, they meet a girl who has hurt her ankle. They help her home to her father Jack who runs the old Christmas Lodge that Mary's family used to visit when she was a child. The Lodge is quite run down and in need of refurbishment but Jack cannot afford to carry out any repairs. Mary, who has many fond memories of the place, sets out to recruit help to refurbish the place and save the business.

Audry gets a chance at a promotion if she goes to Hope Cove and writes an article about the local paper that just won a Pulitzer Prize for Best Local Paper. She will spend a week at the newspaper and there she meets Morgan, who is the editor-in-chief but also the son of the newspaper's owner and manager. Audry soon takes an interest in the newspaper's column where readers get good advice. She wants to follow up on some of the successful advice given. What Audry doesn't know is that the newspaper she works for is planning to buy out the local paper.

A reasonably okay film but it goes a little too easy, there is very little chewiness.

Princess Elena has grown up with a great interest in flowers but this is not viewed positively by her family, especially not by her brother who is also allergic to pollen. For many years, Elena has studied in the United States, but now she, together with her brother, must represent her country on a trip around Europe. She brings her best friend Daisy along as a secretary on the trip. In London, it turns out there is a flower festival going on and Elena signs up as a competitor incognito. There she meets Adam, a journalist who will write about the festival but also about Princess Elena…

The concept of unknown European kingdoms has a hard time being genuine and "believable" and this one is no different. But it still has certain qualities, which is why it still gets a 3.

Well-planned TV host Gwen is dumped by her well-known baseball-playing boyfriend when he doesn't feel like he fits into her plan. To top it all off, the whole thing is filmed and leaked on social media. To get away, Gwen travels a little earlier to her best friend's wedding. There she is drawn into the wedding preparations when the wedding planner has quit. She is set to solve various tasks together with the groom's best man, Josh. Josh lives life a little more day by day and Gwen, who wants a plan for everything, has trouble dealing with it. But things slowly starts to get better.

Although the film starts off a little rough, it picks up gradually and the end result is a good romantic film.

Dorey Walker is a marketing manager at a large department store that organizes a Christmas parade every year. This year, however, Santa is drunk and unruly, and Dorey hires Kriss, who happens to be there and looks like Santa. Not only for the parade but also for being Santa in the department store. Kriss becomes very popular as Santa but the rival department store tries to destroy his reputation and it is Bryan who has to defend him in court. Meanwhile, Susan wishes that she would get a father, a house and a little brother for Christmas from Kriss.

A well-made and funny film with a lot of feel-good. A remake of a 1947 classic and a good one at that.

Emily has a company that raises butterflies that are released as decoration at posh events. However, she has received competition from another less serious company that keeps lower prices. However, Emily has landed a job at a birthday party for Amanda. There she meets Amanda's father Garret, who is a widower and has recently moved to the city from New York. Amanada loves butterflies and gets to come to Emily's butterfly farm and the friendship with Amanda and Garret starts. The next challenge will be a celebrity wedding where the bride wants a copious amount of butterflies.

The whole concept of multiple companies whose sole business idea is to grow butterflies to rent out for various events is so stupendously stupid it makes you laugh. The film doesn't hold up otherwise either.

Plot

Andy is going to marry Jordan. She works in her mother's wedding dress shop and will make both her and her best friend's wedding dresses. Her best friend is considering going to boot camp for brides-to-be and Andy is hesitant but when she realizes there are things she doesn't know about Jordan, she decides to go too. However, this only adds to her musings. The whole thing is also complicated by Casey who delivers flowers to the mother's shop and suddenly also to the "boot camp".

This teeters on the edge towards a 3 but it still gets a 4 because it straightens up a bit in the second half.

Ruby dreams of becoming a writer but has mostly been refused. Now her mother has secretly entered her into a competition announced by a publisher that will take place in the wilderness at Lake Tahoe and she is accepted. She is looking forward to meeting the well-known novelist Marcus and learning from him. Instead, the contestants get to spend a lot of time out fishing in the company of Woody, who runs the Inn where they live. Ruby is very uncomfortable with the outdoors but Woody pushes on. Isn't it also something fishy with the celebrity writer Marcus?

No. Maybe it could have been something, but the film is sunk by Franco Lo Presti.
