When Sam is about to start her new job as a stockbroker and investor, it turns out that her boyfriend and his colleague have taken over the company she is about to start at and that he will be her new boss. An impossible situation. Sam goes home over Christmas to clear her mind and think about what she wants. Back home, she runs into her old boyfriend Noah when they get involved with some charity work.

Short review

A pretty good romantic movie. Another one on the theme that 'hot shot' jobs in the big city are nothing to strive for.

Heart of the Matter

Plot

April is an in-demand fashion photographer who is offered a two-year contract in Paris. While considering the offer, she goes to visit her childhood friend Julia to help her attract visitors to the town's 100th anniversary. Once there, she meets Luke who once broke her heart by not investing in their relationship and their shared art dreams. Luke is now a widower with a daughter who insists that April give her father his creative joy back.

Short review

The film is a little thin on explanations and I had a some difficulty understanding what April sees in Luke.

Hearts Of Christmas

Plot

Jenny is tasked with managing the neonatal ward's Christmas party, but has the budget cut by 25% by the hospital's new financial manager, Matt. It doesn't get any better when he also forces Jenny's boss into early retirement. Matt is set on making savings but Jenny gets angry as he only looks at numbers and not at the mission and the people. However, Matt does what he can to help Jenny with the party.

Short review

A good romantic film with a lot of feel-good. Jenny stands her ground in her anger towards Matt, which makes it believable.

Hearts of Spring

Plot

Carly has a popular blog called BestiMom about being a single parent. However, she gets strong opposition from JuggelingDad. At the same time, she has met Andy, who is the father of a schoolmate of her daughter, and they take a liking to each other. What they don't know is that they are also BestiMom and JuggelingDad.

A good romantic film with parents who have teenage children finding each other.

Hearts of Winter

Plot

Interior designer Bethany is making a name for herself and has just published her own book. As a marketing activity, she arrange a competition where she offers to redesign a home. Grant's daughter Zoe applies, unbeknownst to Grant, for their house to be Bethany's project. Zoe's application is so good that Bethany names them the winners. Now Grant is faced with having his home redesigned and everything is followed by Bethany's blog and also a design magazine that will publish the whole thing in its Christmas issue.

Short review

The film holds up although one might think that Grant would be a bit more upset when he is suddenly faced with an unexpected redesign including film crew etc.

Hello, It's Me

Plot

It's been two years since Annie's husband died in a sailing accident. She tries to make ends meet by baking for various events. One day, her car is hit by James, who later turns out to be the one holding the event that Annie is to deliver the dessert to. He is fascinated by this strong single mother.

Short review

If you can overlook the "mysterious messages" Annie recieves, which also play a very small role, this is a good and fine-tuned romantic film.

Her pen pal

Plot

Victoria has a wedding planning company but now she has a special task, to fix the wedding of her best friend Tracy and it is in Paris. Her former boyfriend, Cameron, is supposed to be best man, but Victoria is completely taken aback when she learns that he's bringing a date with him. Her friends also push her to contact Jacques, with whom she was pen pals and had a long-distance relationship with before she was with Cameron.

A well made romantic movie set in Paris.

High Flying Romance

Plot

Hannah signs up for the annual kite competition and meets Gavin, who has recently returned to town with his daughter. They get to know each other in the days before the competition and mutual interest arise. There is, however, a former girlfriend of Gavin's in town too.

A standard story that is OK, but no more, with kite flying as a background.

Hint of Love

Plot

Becky is a very good cookbook editor. Will is a single father who became a celebrity chef by focusing on food that can be easily cooked by single parents. His methods are, however, under all criticism according to Becky. Suddenly, however, she is tasked with editing Will's new cookbook.

An OK romantic film about finding love in the harsh world of cookbooks.

Hitched For The Holidays

Plot

Rob and Julie both have pressure from home to find a partner. To avoid this, they agree to pretend to be together over Christmas and Hannukah (Julie is Jewish).

Short review

A decently good story that perhaps becomes unnecessarily dramatic at the end (it ends well though).

Holidate

Plot

Sloan is pretty tired of being picked on for being alone at all the holidays. In the line for returns after Christmas, she runs into Jackson, who is tired of difficult relationships and expectations. Inspired by Sloan's Aunt Susan's idea of Holidates, to have dates only for the holidays, Sloan and Jackson decide to have each other as Holidates to avoid all expectations around the holidays. In the coming year, they meet at all the holidays, but even though they say they don't have feelings for each other, something happens that they didn't expect.

A good and sometimes really funny romantic movie.

Holiday Date

Plot

When Brooke's boyfriend breaks up with her right before they're supposed go to her parents' house for Christmas, she doesn't quite know how to handle it. At a party with some friends, she meets an actor, Joel, who is trying to get a role where he will play a guy from a small town. Their friends suggest that he come along and pretend to be Brooke's boyfriend while learning all about small town life.

Short review

One of the less good romantic movies. It over acted and gets pretty silly.

Holiday for Heroes

Plot

Audrey, who owns a café, exchanges letters with Matt, who is serving overseas with her brother. Audrey is also involved in the town's annual Christmas celebration, which usually pays tribute to the town's residents who serve in the military. Before Christmas this year, Matt gets a posting at home and takes the opportunity to seek out Audrey, whom he has never met face to face. He gets involved in the Christmas celebration, which this year is threatened as the rest of the regiment posted abroad before Christmas.

Short review

If you can overlook the movie's glorification of the American military, this is a good romantic film with a lot of feel-good.

Holiday Hearts

Plot

Peyton is an accountant at her parents' Inn and this year she has been entrusted with organizing the traditional annual Christmas celebration at the place (25th anniversary). Ben who is a doctor, who also is Peyton's ex, suddenly has to take care of Lily, the daughter of an acquaintance who has been hurt. He gets help from Peyton.

A standard romantic movie and that's about it.

Holiday In Handcuffs

Plot

Trudie's life is complicated and when her "boyfriend" refuses to go with her and meet her parents over Christmas, things go awry. Faced with having to meet her family without a promised boyfriend, she resolutely kidnaps a guest at the restaurant she works at to take home as a boyfriend.

Short review

I thought it was pretty lousy to begin with and from some points of view it doesn't get any better. But it actually has a slightly crazy approach and becomes a bit charming. I stuck with it and finally gave it 3 points.

Holiday Joy

Plot

Joy struggles to keep the family afloat since her mother died. She looks enviously at the family next door who seem to live a perfect life. One day she has an accident and when she wakes up she is the daughter of the perfect family next door and has a "successful life". But did it really get better?

Short review

The film is probably more of a teenage film than a romantic film. It is also quite bad with a lot of irrational behaviour and illogical sequences of events.

Holly and Ivy

Plot

Melody moves into a renovation property while trying to get a job as a librarian. She gets to know the neighbour Nina and her two daughters. When Nina turns out to be terminally ill, Melody (who was a foster child herself) takes up the idea of adopting her daughters. But she has to get the house in order. She gets unexpected help from Adam, who is the construction manager.

Short review

A good movie with a serious undertone. Maybe not a documentary but a good romantic film that explodes in feel-good at the end.

Home by Spring

Plot

Loretta moves to California to work as an event planner. At home, she leaves her boyfriend Wayne. Two years later, she has succeeded quite well and has a new relationship with an actor. She then gets the chance to organize an open-air event for a lawyer who wants to impress his girlfriend's father, a rich millionaire, in order to ask for his daughter's hand in marriage. She arranges it in her old hometown and has to confront Wayne again.

Short review

The movie could have been more okay if it hadn't been for Wayne being such a "stay at home and don't think you're anybody" type. He is never really convincingly converted and I don't understand what she sees in him.

Home for Christmas Day

Plot

When Betsy works extra at Jackson's Diner before college, she meets Tyler, who has just enlisted in the military. Jane, Betsy's mother, who is a widow after her husband, Betsy's father, that died while serving in the military, is against the relationship when she finds out. Jackson tries to mediate between them and Tyler does his best to prove he's up to it.

Short review

Well, it becomes somewhat predictable and they dramatize it unnecessarily at the end and then suddenly folds in the final scene. No, quite simply put.

Home For Harvest

Plot

Katie is a travel reporter who is sent back to her hometown to do a reportage. Reluctantly, she goes there to discover that it wasn't as bad as expected and she also finds a nice restaurant owner, Noah, who moved there to have a calmer life.

Short review

Well, I don't know. Everything about staying put in the small town. Landy Cannon as Noah doesn't convince either.

Homecoming for the Holidays

Plot

Charlotte manages to break through as a country singer while her brother serves in the military. Before Christmas, she manages to get a gap in her schedule so that she can go home over Christmas and write songs for her new album. At home, she meets Matt, whom she met when he and her brother went away on duty. Matt is involved in a project to build a house for a single mother who also served with them and her daughter.

Short review

A good feel-good romantic movie (if you can overlook the American glorification of the military).

Homemade Christmas

Plot

Megan works with sorting out crises around Christmas celebrations (fixing the cake baking, Christmas decorating, etc.). She is hired by Kurt to fix the Christmas tree in their toy store, but when she gets there she is mistaken for a consultant who they've hired to redesign the store to attract an investor to invest in expanding the toy store to a chain of stores.

Short review

A good romantic film that is greatly supported by the cocky Michelle Argyris as Megan.

Hometown Christmas

Plot

Noelle has just become a doctor and is moving back to her hometown before Christmas. Once there, she wants to start the Christmas game that her mother used to organize every year. Reluctantly, she enlists the help of her old boyfriend who left her for baseball.

This film is dragged down by a rather self-important ex boyfriend and Noelle who just buys into his ways.

Hometown Hero

Plot

Kelsey is a divorce lawyer and in one case she handles she is forced to take care of a dog that got stuck in the negotiations. This dog also leads her to meet Harrison, a veterinarian struggling to keep his clinic open.

An almost okay film with a dog, vet and romance.

Hometown Holiday

Plot

Krista and Ashley run a flower shop together. In the same town lives Wes whose son posts videos of dads singing on the web and it goes viral. Ryan whose sister lives in the same town is a lawyer and he wants to land a deal with Wes so he goes to visit his sister. There he meets Krista and they take a liking to each other even though Ryan has a girlfriend in LA.

Short review

An unusual film insofar as the romance(s) develop over a long period of time. The film takes place over almost a year. A good thing.

Hope at Christmas

Plot

Sydney is recently divorced and trying to get a job after being a housewife for a long time. She has also inherited a house where she used to spend her summers. She goes there with her daughter before Christmas to prepare the sale of the house. Once in the city, she reacquaints herself with her favourite bookstore where she used to spend a lot of time as a child. She also meets Mac who is a teacher in town. Sydney gets reason to think about what she should do with her new life.

Short review

A good romantic film with a feel-good feel and all the pieces fall into place at the end.

Hopeless, Romantic

Plot

A film about three romantic events in a circle of friends. The main romance, however, revolves around Matt who is turned down when he proposes to his girlfriend of many years, Alexis. Matt gets depressed but is supported by his good friend Liz. Suddenly, he decides to win Alexis back, as you do in all the romantic movies that he is a big fan of. But is it really the right thing to do, maybe there is someone better than Alexis?

Short review

I was a bit skeptical after reading the IMDB page about this one but was pleasantly surprised. It's a good romantic movie and it works well with the three different romances in the movie.

How to Fall in Love

Plot

Harold is a shy and withdrawn accountant who finds it difficult to approach women. Annie is an unemployed event planner who went to the same school as Harold. Through various circumstances, Harold hires Annie as a coach to help him date a girl he met at his local cafe.

A good romantic film that develops at a good pace.

I Do, I Do, I Do

Jaclyn will marry Peter on Valentine's Day. Her sister questions if she's sure it's right. In the midst of it all, Jaclyn also meets Peter's brother who is much nicer. When the wedding day is over, it hasn't quite turned out as she planned. She wishes she had been given a second chance to redo the day. And she gets them. Over and over again.

A Groundhog Wedding Day. It actually turns out pretty good.

I Hate Valentines Day

Genevieve runs her own flower shop. Romantically, she has a rule of never going on more than five dates. An optimal number to experience romance but not commit and risk getting your heart broken. A strategy that worked well for her. Just in time for Valentine, Greg opens a restaurant nearby. He doesn't have a good track record in relationships either and when he gets to know Genevieve the concept of only five dates sounds great. A film that surprised me. After reading about it on IMDB, my expectations weren't very high but it was really funny and good. Not a cinematic masterpiece but the acting is good, the quirky personalities all around works and it has a comic eye for details. And it's romantic, of course.

I Married Who?

Plot

The well organized Jordan is going to marry Peter. Before the wedding, her friends take her to a bachelorette party in Las Vegas. Drinks are mixed and when Jordan wakes up the next day, she finds that she has married movie star Matt Swift. Now she needs to get a divorce and convince Peter to still marry her. However, Matt's agent takes advantage of the situation for publicity and the circus begins.

Not the best movie I've seen, but it's not bad either. It has its good moments

Ice Sculpture Christmas

Plot

Callie has two passions in life: cooking and ice sculpturing. Now she has managed to land her first job as a dishwasher with a famous chef, Gloria. The annual ice sculpture competition will soon take place, the one that Gloria has won five times in a row. Callie meets David who she met once as a child. He believes in Callie's skill as an ice sculptor and enters her into the competition. Things get complicated when Callie doesn't want to challenge her new boss.

Darcy works in marketing. Her firm fails to get the assignment for the large company led by William Austen, but through stubbornness, Darcy manages to get a smaller assignment for their charity work. There she gets the chance to try to impress Glenn, who is in charge of marketing at the large company.

A fairly good romantic film that is lifted by an enthusiastic Darcy (Candace Cameron Bure).

I'll Be Home for Christmas

Plot

Assistant District Attorney Jackie is a single mother to Gracie. Her orderly existence, including boyfriend Rand, is shaken when her absent father, Jack, shows up in town for a funeral. When Jack, who used to be a police officer in town, decides to stay over Christmas, Jackie is forced to deal with her old feelings about her father, but also the dog Nose, a retired police dog that Jack takes on, as well as John, Jack's younger former colleague.

Short review

The film would probably have received a 3 from me if it hadn't been for Giselle Eisenberg who plays Jackie's daughter Gracie. She makes a brilliant contribution as the precocious daughter.

In My Dreams

Plot

Natalie and Nick, unbeknownst to each other, throw a coin into a wishing well. At night, they begin to dream about each other and experience an attraction. But does the other really exist? Suddenly, Natalie learns that there is a saying that you dream of your perfect partner for seven days, if you don't meet in real life during that time, you will never meet.

Short review

Despite the slightly dreamy theme, they have put together a pretty good romantic film in this one.

In The Key Of Love

Plot

After a short career in Nashville, Maggie now earns a living as a photographer at her grandmother's wedding company. At the next wedding, the bride turns out to be the sister of her former duet partner and also ex boyfriend. Maggie is faced with meeting him two years after she left the partnership and the relationship.

A good romantic film even if you sometimes wish that the target could give everyone who tries to get them together with old loves a slap in the face or at least tell them off seriously.

Inn for Christmas

Plot

Mandy runs hotels for a major hotel chain. Before Christmas, she goes to Grandma's house to celebrate Christmas but also to scout out an Inn that is for sale to see if she can acquire it for her company and thus also maybe get a promotion. On the way home, she meets Lucas, who she always competed against at school. It turns out that he is also looking to buy the Inn.

Short review

It turns out well without any major fluctuations. A fairly calm and romantic film where everything works out in the end.

It Was Always You

Plot

Elizabeth is to get engaged to her colleague and childhood friend George. But is it really the right man for her? During the week leading up to the engagement party, she is exposed to David, George's brother. He has always been the free type and not as boxed in and planned as George.

Better than expected. A fairly quiet romantic film, predictable but very feel good and no one is left alone at the end.

It's Beginning to Look A Lot Like Christmas

Plot

Riverton is a town divided into an East and a West, each with a mayor, Liam and Sarah. Now it's time for the annual Christmas competition where the best Christmas town will be chosen. Of course, both cities enter the competition and Liam and Sarah compete against each other as they have done since school.

Another film that I was hesitant about, but it holds its own as a romantic film.

Crashing Through the Snow

Plot

Maggie and Jeff have remained friends after the divorce and continued to celebrate Christmas together with the children. Now, however, Jeff has met a new girl, Kate, and wants to take the kids to her parents' place in Aspen. When Kate realizes that Maggie will be alone for Christmas, she invites her too and the children persuade her to come along. However, friction arises when Kate is popular with the children and Maggie's Christmas traditions are overshadowed. However, Sam, Kate's brother, sees this and takes Maggie's side.

A good story about new constellations and the problems that arise with it. (Not exactly very deep, but it is a romantic movie after all).

Cross Country Christmas

Plot

Lina and Max comes from the same city but have never been together. Now they are both going home from New York to celebrate Christmas. A blizzard forces them to find alternative routes home and to work together to find them.

Short review

An OK romantic film that delivers what it should.

Crown for Christmas

Plot

Allie loses her job at the hotel where she's a cleaner. Before that, however, she is noticed by King Max's chamberlain. He stops by Allie's house and offers her the position of governess to Max's daughter, Theodora. Annie travels to the country of Winshire in Europé. Theodora is very stubborn but Allie manages to reach her. She also manages to reach her father, King Max.

Short review

Another one of all those European kingdoms I didn't know about. The film is almost OK as a romantic film if you can overlook the slightly cheesy image of small kingdoms that the Americans seem to suffer from.

Dashing Home for Christmas

Plot

Emily, stressed at work, tries to travel home to Seattle for Christmas. Through some trouble in the middle of the trip, she meets Simon, who is also on his way to Seattle. They try to struggle their way there together.

Short review

The movie was not as good as I expected. Maybe it holds up, but it doesn't convince.

Dashing Through the Snow

Plot

Ashley doesn't make the flight to Seattle, and when the last rental car is left, a guy pushes ahead and books it. When he, Dash, learns that they are both going to Seattle, he offers to share the car. So begins the journey north. What they don't know is that they are being followed by the FBI who seem to think Ashley is some kind of terrorist. Who is Ashley really? And who is Dash?

Short review

A rather funny and different romantic film. However, it loses a bit in that the production feels a bit cheap and the ending is very abrupt.

Date with Love

Plot

David has a hard time getting a date to the prom (because he can't see his best friend right in front of his nose). In his desperation to become popular, he makes a video where he invites movie star Alex Allen to be his date to the prom. At the same time, Alex breaks up with her boyfriend in front of all the cameras on the red carpet. She needs positive publicity, so her friend and manager persuade her to accept the prom invitation that has now gone viral. Once there, she meets David's English teacher who doesn't know who she is. Set up for interesting times.

The movie is okay as a romantic movie. The Hollywood star's struggle with celebrity.

Dater's Handbook

Plot

Cass has a pretty hopeless boyfriend who really doesn’t understand what matters in a relationship. Her sister thinks she should take advice from the book Dater’s Handbook, which claims that you tend to choose the wrong kind of guys and that you should go for the more down-to-earth and reliable ones. She breaks up with her useless boyfriend and soon meets two new men, George and Robert, both of whom seem promising. She starts dating them separately while trying to evaluate them based on the book’s advice. But which one is the right choice? And is the book really right about everything?

Short review

A film about taking advice from others but perhaps listening more to oneself than to self-help books. As a romantic film, it delivers what it’s supposed to and holds up as an average movie.

Dear Christmas

Natalie has a podcast about love but she has trouble finding it herself. She goes home to her parents for Christmas. On the way home, she gets a puncture and a tow truck comes with Chris to help her. Chris then has an ability to appear in all sorts of contexts at Natalie's parents' house.

Short review

A nice little romantic film that doesn't try to make Cris into some mysterious elf despite the name Chris Massey. But it still doesn't reach higher than 3.

Dear Viola

Plot

Kellie is an accountant, i.a. in the local newspaper. When the person who writes the Q&A column stops, Kellie takes over the writing in secret. Russ is a widower with a daughter and writes in for advice and a dialogue begins in the newspaper without them knowing that they know each other in real life.

Short review

A cute film where the main characters are a bit older for once (around 40).

Definitely Maybe

Plot

Will is in the middle of his divorce when his ten-year-old daughter, who has been taught about sex at school, becomes curious about how he and her mother met. Will begins to talk about his youth (which we get to follow in flashbacks) and the three girls who came to play an important role in his life. However, he hides from Maya who ended up being her mother until the end.

Short review

A well-made film about how complicated life can be. It leaves you guessing how it really will end.

Deliver by Christmas

Plot

Molly runs the town's bakery. Josh who is a widower has moved to the city with his son. They run into each other a few times in the city but, unaware of this, they also start communicating via text and phone and thus become friends without knowing who the other is.

Short review

A pretty sweet romantic movie that almost works even though there are some incredible moments, like how they can communicate without realizing who the other is.

Designed With Love

Plot

Skye and the designer she works for have different visions for what should be done and Sky have to leave. She wants to start her own brand but it is very difficult when you have no business to show for it. Through her boyfriend, she gets a contact who says that if she can show a certain turnover, she can get a large order. She happens to run into Jason, who works with start-ups but also has an old food truck left over from an old failed project. The idea is born to test with an itinerant designer shop. Skye and Jason team up to test and see if Skye can come up with the right turnover.

Short review

A pretty good romantic movie about finding the business you're passionate about and maybe swapping an old boyfriend for a new one in the process.

Desperately Seeking Santa

Plot

Jennifer runs a 'shopping mall' that runs a little rough. The group tasks everyone with fixing sales before Christmas, which could lead to a long-awaited promotion. Jennifer gets an idea to market the mall by having a contest for the sexiest Santa. David is one of those who volunteers.

Short review

Holds up as a romantic film, but the rest is rather dubious. A bit sloppily executed and even though it is supposed to be against commercialism, it pays tribute to it quite a lot.

Destination Wedding (2017)

Plot

Ellie has long been planning her sister's wedding, which is a "Destination Wedding", i.e. a wedding where everyone goes away for a week's vacation in conjunction with the wedding. This time to Acapulco, Mexico. The only problem is that the wedding couple don't arrive. Now Ellie has to keep everything on hold while she and the groom's best man try to resolve the situation. The problem is that the groom's best man is Greg, Ellie's ex. boyfriend. Something that is extra difficult as her current boyfriend wouldn't come along to Acapulco…

Short review

A good romantic movie. Once again with an ex boyfriend who comes out of the woodworks with lots of unresolved conflicts and feelings.

Destination Wedding (2018)

Plot

Frank and Lindsey run into each other on their way to the same wedding. Both are scarred by past experiences and are very cynical. They start with a strong antipathy towards their surroundings and especially towards each other. During the wedding, which is a story of several days, they are forced to hang out with each other for lack of better.

Short review

A well-crafted story in which Winona Ryder and Keanu Reeves have the only speaking roles. However, it is hardly noticeable when you are drawn into the dynamic between them.

Diagnosis Delicious

Plot

Dave's career as a chef has been interrupted due to an incident with a food critic. Now he is temporarily forced to take a job as a cooking teacher. Nina's opportunity for promotion at the hospital where she works as a doctor becomes, through various circumstances, dependent on her being able to recruit Dave as a cooking teacher at the hospital's health training courses. To convince him to take the assignment, she is forced to attend his cooking class, something she doesn't think she has time for.

A good romantic film where they managed to combine two of the favourite professions of romance films, doctor and chef.

Do I Say I Do?

Plot

Jessica is an author who has written her last book on the current contract. A contract she has at the publishing house run by her ex. boyfriend, Mike. Now she's forced to do a series of video ads for her book with Mike to fulfil her contract.

Short review

A fairly good romantic film on the theme of holding on to traditional values. It also offers a secondary romance.

Dorfman in Love

Plot

Deb is stuck in her family, where she constantly supports her father and her brother, with whom she also works. When she gets the chance to take care of a cat (and an apartment) owned by a guy, Jay, that she has a crush on, she takes it on. This sets off a process of liberation, which is helped along by Cookie, who lives next door to the apartment she babysitting.

Short review

A slightly different romantic film that is as much about liberation as romance. A good and partly also funny film.

Double Holiday

Plot

Rebecca gets the chance for a promotion when one of the managers at the property development company she works for quits. The only problem is that she is pitted against her colleague Chris and they have to compete by preparing the company's Christmas party where a very important potential customer is to come.

A good romantic movie that delivers. Chris is a little rough at first but gets the hang of it.

Drive Me Crazy

Plot

Nicole and Chase have been neighbours and friends since childhood but in recent years they have drifted apart and ended up in different circles at school. Despite almost 25 years old, it holds up reasonably well. Perhaps not a top movie, but it works as a romantic film and has its points.

Erin works in marketing at the Chocolate Company that her father runs. The company is not doing as well as before and she is sent off to the factory incognito by her father to see for herself where the problems lays. At the factory she is confronted by, among other things, Bryan who is the factory's chocolatier.

Eat, drink and be married

Plot

Billie runs a charity that takes care of what's left after weddings and makes sure it's reused and enjoyed by others. She gets a future bride and groom as customers as they want their leftovers to be a source of joy as well. The problem is that when they are there for counselling, they start arguing and suddenly the wedding that was supposed to be in three days is called off. This is not okey by the groom's brother, who thinks they are made for each other. He holds Billie responsible for their breakup and now enlists her to help him patch it all up.

However, Dan is about to leave the dog agency he works with and move with his girlfriend to New York. Something that Kristi doesn't like and pushes Carly into the equation.

Dog movie with vet and everything. It is good and works with a parallel romance with an older couple who unite around a dog.

Liberty has a full schedule with lots of different jobs that she has. Jonathan is a lawyer with a distinguished career and has just become a partner at the firm. One day when Liberty is serving at the dinner celebrating Jonathan becoming a partner, they both get stuck in the elevator. They chat in the elevator and have an instant connection, but once they get out and Jonathan discovers she's a waitress, he's put off. But Jonathan's secretary, Rosemary, arranges for them to meet again.

A relatively uncomplicated film but sweet and ends as it should.

Elizabethtown

Drew is a shoe designer who failed miserably and created billions in losses for the company he works for. When he is about to end his life, his sister calls and announces that his father has died. He is now forced by his mother and sister to go to Elizabethtown where his father has died to take care of everything and manage his father's side of the family. On the flight there, he meets flight attendant Claire, who will play a big role in his life for the next few days.

The film is not a traditional romantic film, perhaps more of a drama comedy. A well-constructed, funny and a good film with a romantic theme.

Enchanted Christmas

Laura is sent to her hometown to project manage the renovation of a hotel. In her youth, she danced at a professional level in the ballroom but stopped when life got in the way and her dance partner, Ricardo, left town for a career in dance. Now she returns with her daughter (Laura is a widow) only to find that Ricardo is back in town for a dance performance at said hotel.

Apart from the fact that the film is a bit sloppily scripted, it is yet another story about a former boyfriend who treated the main character badly but is suddenly forgiven without apology. I was mostly irritated. The married couple (in real life) Alesa and Carlos have done better.

Entertaining Christmas

Candace's mother, Liz, is a nationally known do-it-yourselfer with recipes and knitting patterns. When she announces her retirement, Candace is expected to take over the company. The problem is that Candace can neither cook nor knit. Before Christmas, Liz has received a wish from a child to come and celebrate when the child's father returns from military service. Liz thinks it could be good publicity for the company but can't go herself but sends Candace in her place. Can Candace succeed despite her lack of abilities? Especially when she is being watched by the local journalist John.

A romantic film, not entirely surprising on the theme that you are good as you are. It doesn't quite reach all the way.

He still lives at home with his parents and when a relationship starts to get serious he takes the girl home and she breaks up when she discover he still lives at home. The parents get desperate that he never moves away from home, so they hire an expert, Paula, who works on tricking boys into moving away from home. However, this case doesn't quite go according to plan…

It took me a while to buy into this movie, but it's quite funny in parts.

Falling for Vermont

Bestselling author Julie is pressured by all the publicity the film adaptation of her books has created. To escape, she borrows her sister's car and drives away. Outside a small town, she ends up in a snowstorm and crashes the car. The local sheriff finds her wandering aimlessly along the road and she has completely lost any memory of who she is. The local doctor, Jeff, and his two children let her stay in their guesthouse while she tries to get her memory back.

A good romantic film where Julie gets perspective on her existence while she tries to regain her memory.

Falling For You

Lacey is a radio announcer on the local radio station that had her funding from the municipality revoked after the municipality got a new software for better budgeting. She gets the idea to organize a competition with bachelors who will bake works that will then be auctioned off along with a date with the bachelor in question to raise money for the station. Meanwhile, the software developer, Zac, who made the municipality's software and lives at the Inn that Lacey's aunt runs, arrives.

A good feel-good romantic film that make it all the way.

Family For Christmas

Hanna has succeeded as a news reporter on TV and gets the chance to do more important features. She ends up talking to a Santa who collects money for charity and he asks her what she wants. She can't quite think of anything but he still perceives a desire. The next day, Hanna wakes up in a parallel life where she married her school sweetheart, Ben, and lives in the suburbs with two children and a dog. But that wasn't what she wanted, was it?

Short review

Was a bit sceptical that this would be a "Don't follow your dreams but stay in the suburbs" movie but even though Hanna learns to appreciate her alternative life, she doesn't give up.

Farewell Mr. Kringle

Annabelle is sent off to blog about a man who is the town santa in Mistletoe. She is skeptical about Christmas in general but still gets the assignment. She comes to Mistletoe and tries to dig up the truth about Cris being Santa. During her time there, she also meets Mark who tries to convince her that Chris is a positive force in the town.

Short review

A somewhat sweet, but a bit scrappy romantic film. The story of Chris holds up (there will be no arguing that he really is Santa or anything) but it still has its weaknesses.

Feliz NaviDAD

David is a widower with a 14-year-old daughter who attends the school he is principal at. He also drives a delivery van as an extra job over Christmas. His daughter and his sister convince David to try dating again. He meets Sophie (whom he ran into on his delivery rounds) and since she's only visiting (with her dad) they decide to just practice date.

Partially OK romantic film, but it feels a bit rushed.

Finding Christmas

Sean, who has a marketing firm in New York, gets dumped just as he is about to propose to his girlfriend. Owen, who is a craftsman but also a musician, is put off when his ex-girlfriend is suddenly engaged. Both feel they need a change of environment and they find each other through a "house swap" program. Owen goes to New York to live in Sean's apartment, where he also meets Sean's assistant Mia. Sean goes to Butters, North Carolina to stay at Owen's house and there he also meets Owen's sister Ryan.

A variation of the classic The Holiday, but this time it's the guys who change residences. It's good and entertaining despite some shortcuts.

Finding Love in Mountain View

Plot

Maragret goes to her hometown when she finds out that she is mentioned in her cousin's will. Once there, she finds out that she has been appointed guardian of her cousin's two children. Her whole life is turned upside down when having to take care of Joel and Sammie, even though Margaret has a hope of being able to hand over the children to her cousin's second choice after a month. Despite negative expectations from those around her, including her ex-boyfriend Andrew who works at the children's school, Margaret attaches herself to the children.

A film that would have benefited if Danielle C. Ryan (Margaret) learned to express emotions in a believable way.

First Daughter

The president's daughter is about to enter university and she wants to do it like a normal student and chooses a campus in California to get away for a while. However, she is followed by Secret Service personnel and press and it becomes difficult to be "ordinary". She meets James who helps her, but who is James really?

An unconvincing story. The daughter is and behaves rather like a European princess from the nobility rather than like a president's daughter in the United States. The story itself never engages.

Alex ends up in bed with Isabelle, whom he met in the toilet queue at a restaurant. Three months later, she shows up to tell him she's pregnant, because she thinks it's the decent thing to do (she's not looking for alimony or anything like that). Alex is caught off guard but the events cause him to propose to her and they get married in Vegas. Then the complications begin.

I never really got into this movie. I experienced it mostly as tiring when a whole year has to pass in between, what do they actually do in the meantime?

A romantic film that holds up quite well despite Ryan McPartlin, who plays Heath, who has a knack for coming across as a less talented person in most films.

Perhaps more falls into the Highschool movie genre rather than romantic movie. All about surface isn't everything. Maybe OK if you take it for what it is.

Nina, who is a pilot, is about to fly away on holiday over Christmas when a snow storm stops all flights. She is joined into town by one of the company's new pilots, Brady. All accommodation is full so she takes him to her parents so they can rest there until the next day when hopefully the storm has passed. When they get there, Nina's ex-boyfriend is there and she quickly persuades Brady to pretend to be her new boyfriend to avoid embarrassment.

A pretty good romantic movie. The intricacies can get a little artificial sometimes, but I still think it holds up.

Growing The Big One

Emma has her own radio show. However, the company is taken over by new owners and her spot is given to another and instead she is expected to run a program about cultivation. When they hear that she just inherited her uncle's farm, they want her to broadcast from there. Without knowing anything about growing, she ends up in the city's annual pumpkin competition. However, she reluctantly accepts help from her neighbour, Seth.

Country at Heart

Grady has previously written music with country star Duke. Now Duke needs a new hit and his manager wants Grady to deliver one. When that doesn't work, she goes home to help out at a festival being held at her family's farm. There she meets Grady who sees her ability and wants them to write the new song together.
